Centenary Building at Salford University wins the 2023 Stirling Prize

The Centenary Building at Salford University has been named the winner of the 2023 Stirling Prize, the UK’s most prestigious architecture award.

Designed by Hodder + Partners, the building is a new academic building for the university's School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology.

The Stirling Prize is awarded annually to the best new building in the UK. Previous winners include the London Aquatics Centre, the Tate Modern, and the Hepworth Wakefield.

The Centenary Building is the second building by Hodder + Partners to win the Stirling Prize. The first was the Maggie's Centre in Fife, which won the award in 2002.
