Cloppenburg man missing: Police halt search for missing person

Police have suspended the search for a missing Cloppenburg man after an extensive search operation failed to locate him.

The 52-year-old man was last seen on Thursday, August 11, leaving his home in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony. He was reported missing by his family the following day when he failed to return home.

Police launched a large-scale search operation, involving sniffer dogs and a helicopter, but have been unable to find any trace of the man.

The search was concentrated in the area around the man's home, but was later expanded to include wider areas of Cloppenburg and the surrounding countryside.

Police have said that they are now treating the man's disappearance as a missing person case and are appealing to the public for help in finding him.
