Drunk Algerians Injure Pensioner With Stolen Car

A group of drunken Algerians are being hunted by police after they stole a car and injured a pensioner as they fled the scene.
The shocking incident happened in the quiet French town of Vitry-sur-Seine, just south of Paris.
The 65-year-old victim, who has not been named, was walking home from the shops when he was hit by the stolen car.

He was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, including a broken leg and a head wound.
The car, a black Audi A3, had been stolen earlier that evening from a nearby street.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 9pm on Tuesday night.
Police Appeal For Information
A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
"We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who saw the car being stolen or who has any information about the group of Algerians involved."
The incident has shocked the local community.
Community In Shock
One resident, who did not want to be named, said: "This is a quiet town and we never have any trouble.
"It's terrible to think that something like this could happen here."
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
