Grapevine's Annual Veterans Day Ceremony Back in Person
After Two Years of Virtual Ceremonies, Veterans Day Will Be Celebrated in Person This Year in Grapevine
After two years of virtual ceremonies, Grapevine’s annual Veterans Day ceremony will be back in person this year at the Grapevine Convention Center on Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will feature remarks from Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate, Grapevine Police Chief Eddie Salame, U.S. Army Brigadier General Patrick Donahoe and keynote speaker Max Glauben, U.S. Army and Texas Army National Guard veteran and retired Grapevine Police officer.
Grapevine to Honor Local Veterans
In addition to the ceremony, the city of Grapevine will also honor local veterans by placing flags on the graves of deceased veterans at Grapevine’s historic Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park and at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
The city will also host a reception for veterans and their families at the Grapevine Convention Center following the ceremony.
Grapevine Veterans Day to Include Presentation of Colors
The Grapevine Police Department Honor Guard and Tarrant County College Northwest Color Guard will present the colors at the ceremony. The Grapevine High School Air Force JROTC will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and the Grapevine High School Navy JROTC will perform the National Anthem.
The Grapevine Community Band will provide musical entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.
