Hibs back Gray: Have your say
Easter Road chiefs have given their backing to boss Lee Johnson - despite a 3-1 defeat at home to Aberdeen
A late Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes double condemned the Hibees to defeat in front of their own fans.
Johnson watched on as his team were 3-0 down after just 19 minutes.
A disappointed Johnson admitted: “I’ve got a lot of thinking to do.”
Rude awakening
Johnson knows he must arrest the slide that has seen Hibs fail to win any of their last four Premiership matches.
The Edinburgh derby defeat was particularly painful as Hibs were swatted aside by their capital rivals.
Johnson will now consider his options ahead of the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Aberdeen at Hampden on Sunday.
‘A wake-up call’
And the Hibs board are understood to have given the former Sunderland boss their backing.
One insider said: “This was a wake-up call. Johnson knows he’ll have to respond.”
Hibs travel to Livingston in the league next weekend.
But all eyes will be on Hampden as Johnson looks to secure silverware and a place in the final.
