Michael Well: "Bayern's try-hard attitude is incredibly annoying"
"They always want to be the best, and they always want to win. It's exhausting."
The former Bayern Munich player Michael Well has hit out at the club's "try-hard attitude", saying that it is "incredibly annoying."
Well, who played for Bayern from 2000 to 2004, said that the club's players are always under pressure to perform, and that this can lead to them making mistakes.
"They always want to be the best, and they always want to win. It's exhausting," Well told Sport1.
"They try too hard, and they make mistakes. They need to relax and just play their game.
"I think they would be a better team if they just relaxed and played their game."
Well's comments come after Bayern's recent defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach, which saw the club drop to third in the Bundesliga table.
It is not the first time that Well has criticized Bayern's attitude. In 2019, he said that the club's players were "too arrogant" and that they needed to "humble themselves."
Bayern's players have not responded to Well's comments.
