Power outage after car knocks down power pole in Bad Kreuznach

Bad Kreuznach - The power supply in the north of Bad Kreuznach was interrupted on Monday afternoon due to an accident that caused a power pole to collapse.

A car had crashed into the pole near the intersection of Bosenheimer Straße and Stromberg Straße, bringing down cables and causing a power outage in the surrounding area. The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m., according to the police.

The fire brigade and the energy supplier immediately responded to the scene to secure the area and begin repairs. The power supply was restored to most affected households by early evening.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old woman, was slightly injured in the accident and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the police.
