“The Masked Singer” candidate talks about her insecurities

Last year, Sängerin Alina Wichmann (23) participated in The Masked Singer. In an interview at the weekend, the young singer now talked about her insecurities, especially regarding her figure and body hair.

So far, Alina Wichmann has been considered rather shy and reserved, but in a recent interview, she revealed that she also struggles with insecurities. Alina Wichmann has struggled with her weight for a long time. She says: “I’m overweight and totally hairy.”

Especially her body hair is often a big topic for the singer. “My legs, arms and armpits are very hairy,” says Alina Wichmann. “That’s why I often tease myself and say that I’m a werewolf.” She has to epilate regularly to be able to go out in public. “Sometimes I’m afraid of what other people will think of me.” She also says that she often feels pressure to conform to beauty standards, which makes her feel bad. “It’s not always easy to always be judged by your appearance.”

Nevertheless, in the interview, Alina Wichmann also emphasized that she is working on accepting herself as she is. She says: “I’m working on loving myself. In the end, I’m fine the way I am.” Body hair is a natural part of the human body. It is unfair and outdated to let beauty standards determine who is considered attractive and who is not.
