Search Suspended At Thülsfelder Stausee
The search for a 79-year-old swimmer reported missing at Thülsfelder Stausee on Sunday evening has been suspended. According to police, the search resumed at 9 a.m. on Monday morning, with divers and a sonar boat deployed to locate the missing person.
The man, from the Cloppenburg – Vechta district, disappeared while swimming in the lake on Sunday afternoon. Witnesses reported seeing the man struggling in the water before disappearing below the surface.
The search was suspended at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday after no trace of the missing person could be found. Police say the search may resume if new information comes to light, but for now, the operation has been called off.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident or have any information that could help locate the missing person.
