The official website for the anime of AidaIro's Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga revealed on Friday First details for the anime's second season. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and other channels in January 2023. Studio Lerche is returning to animate the 2nd season.

Yen Press publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Nene Yashiro is a high school girl who loves the occult and wants a boyfriend. One day, she summons the school's famous ghost, Hanako-kun. But this Hanako-kun is a boy! He grants Nene's wish, but now she's become his assistant, and her life will never be the same again.

The anime's first season premiered in January 2020. Funimation streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. The anime had 12 episodes.
