Pedestrian Fatally Struck, Three Others Transported to Hospital
A fatal accident on the B255 in Bad Marienberg on Thursday evening has left one person dead and three others injured, according to police.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. when a car struck a pedestrian who was crossing the road. The pedestrian, a 75-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car and two passengers were also injured in the accident. The driver, a 22-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The two passengers, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, were treated for minor injuries and released.
The B255 was closed for several hours while police investigated the accident. The road has since been reopened.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
